Date of Birth: Jul 2008

Moses is a 'lurcher', a mix between a greyhound and some kind of bird dog (???), as far as we can tell. He was found stray, underweight, full of fleas, ticks and every kind of worm imaginable, including heart worms. He is now free of everything except heart worms, which are being treated with monthly Heartgard.
Moses' foster mom says he is the most affectionate dog she has ever seen in her life. He seems to be grateful for being rescued from his former life and lets her know by hugging her with both front paws... plus he likes to dance! Foster mom really wants to stress how good Moses is with kids. Her five-year-old, live-in, grandson and Moses are best of friends, and Moses is happy to have the boy lay all over him.
Still a baby, and at least partly a sighthound, Moses really needs room to run. His favorite thing is to be in the yard running circles and sniffing the air. As a baby, he's prone to chewing, but lots of bones and stuffies have kept his need to chew under control.
